Cooperative discipline

This guide sets forth a method by which teachers can do two critical things:
1. Intervene quickly and effecively at the moment of misbehavior
2. Encourage students over the long haul by building their self-esteem and, ultimately, gaining their cooperation.
Interesting and well organized, the book also explores what motivates students to misbehave, ways to avoid and defuse confrontatons, ways to reinforce desirable behavior; and strategies for disciplining cooperatively with students, parents, and other school personnel.

Excellent reference

I am a new teacher, but my brother recommened this book for my difficult kids. He has been a special ed teacher for 20 years, and is an excellent teacher. This book speaks clearly and knows my students well!

Best book on discipline ever!

Linda Albert wrote the book to end all books on classroom discipline. I read this book every year before I start the school year off. I recommend this book to all teachers, especially new teachers.
