About the Author
Sarah Mally is a single young woman with a heart for young ladies. She is the founder of Bright Lights, a discipleship ministry designed to equip young ladies to use the years of their youth fully for Christ. As of winter 2012, more than 500 Bright Lights groups have started worldwide. Bright Lights hosts Strong in the Lord and Radiant Purity conferences for mothers and daughters, trains and equips leaders of Bright Lights groups, and provides discipleship material for young ladies. In 2002, Sarah and her brother and sister (Stephen and Grace) co-authored the book, Making Brothers and Sisters Best Friends, and in 2006 Sarah published Before You Meet Prince Charming. AMAZING

I recently purchased this book and have enjoyed everything about it. I often find myself talking and thinking of things that I shouldn't, but often not knowing how to capture and stop those bad habits. Sarah Mally gives reason, examples, and Scripture of keeping yourself mentally and physical pure for the "Perfect ONE" God has for you. This book has helped to change my understanding of why it is so importantto choose God before anything and fill my whole heart with Him only. If you are a young girl struggling with feelings and thoughts you should purchase this book. PLEASE READ THIS BOOK!!!

Unrealistic expectations

My wife bought this book for our daughter. It appears to be written for girls that are home-schooled as some of the advice is unrealistic in a public school setting (e.g. make very little contact with boys and only say a few words when you do). My daughter has had multiple group projects that have involved one or more boys and involved them coming over to our house to work on said projects. She liked the other book she bought, "It's Not That Complicated: How to Relate to Guys in a Healthy, Sane and Biblical Way", much better.

Very sweet book

I read this book aloud to my 13 year old daughter so we could discuss it as we went along. It's a very sweet presentation of an immensely important subject. The language of the medieval stories is a bit corny at points, but the message is excellent. It is very good for young girls coming of age to have something that sets such high standards because the world we live in does not. I want my daughter to embrace and hold onto the knowledge that she is first and foremost the daughter of the King and to treasure the gift she is and will be in the future whether she is called to marriage, the single life or a religious vocation.
The most important message of this book to a young woman before marriage is that she is not waiting to get married, that marriage is not the ultimate goal in life, but that she needs to be the best God made her to be now. This is not a "how-to-catch-your-man" manual, and bravo for that!
